Why Now?

We’ve seen an 88% increase in the number of people assisted compared to just eight years ago. There is no room for further expansion at our current location.

To meet the significant growth in food insecurity in our community, we’ve embarked on our first ever comprehensive campaign to support a “here for good” future:

  • A $3 million facility investment with plans to move to a larger space that is double our current size, and
  • $2 million endowment to ensure reliable operations and program growth for decades to come.

This will allow us to combat food and clothing insecurity in our area more effectively than ever.

A larger building offers Reach Out Lakota:

  • An ability to serve more people in need throughout West Chester and Liberty townships.
  • Expanded storage space to accept more donations.
  • Ability to distribute far more food, including more of the produce and protein that our neighbors need to maintain good health.
  • The opportunity to expand our strategies for serving families living in poverty.
  • Classroom and meeting space to bring other resources on site - social service partners that specialize in job assistance, debt management and budgeting.

There is no room for further development in our current building. We will secure a larger building that will increase our service capacity and ensure dignity in every experience for those we serve.
